Team

Collin Stith: Lead Technician

Collin has worked on German cars his entire life starting with flat fours at his fathers VW shop in south Texas and is still an avid fan of low horse power German cars as you can see while he drives his 8v GTI past you at many regional track events.  Collin became a certified Audi technician at Roger Beasley Audi where he worked for 4-1/2 years before wanting to broaden his knowledge of German vehicles and their fine engineering.  He left Roger Beasley for BlackForest Werkshop where he got his first taste of BMW’s.  After quickly acclimating himself to another fine German make he set his sights for the motorsports or performance industry.  But before a jump into racing Collin left the BlackForest and moved to Land Rover of Austin.  Land Rover was another beast altogether and Collin was subjected to another school of thought in vehicle engineering, British.  While working on hybrids of the Jaguar and Land Rover makes, Collin began attending track days around Texas and decided the motorsports industry was his next step.  But, due to lackluster interest in road racing around Texas, choices were limited in the Austin area.  After toiling with trucks for a year Collin found SoulSpeed and was hired by Bill Kim.  At SoulSpeed Collin was lead tech and only member of Bill Kim’s pit crew until taking on the role of business owner and mechanic in May 2007.

While working at SoulSpeed thus far, Collin maintained and helped develop the SoulSpeed BMW 325is SCCA ITS car which won every race it entered.  SoulSpeed has built and maintains many local a regional race, auto-x and track cars and currently sponsors 2 local Pro Solo Champions, Andy Hollis and Erik Strelnieks.  With the help of Bill as well as other local racers, Collin has developed his GTI for local track days and will participate in NASA TT’s in 2008.

Jasper Benson: Sales & Servicewriter

Before joining Collin at SoulSpeed in September of 2007 Jasper was the service manager for Lotus of Austin. He brings an extensive customer service background to the shop and a strong commitment to customer satisfaction. A lifelong sports car and Nissan enthusiast, on the weekends Jasper can be found competing in autocross with the Spokes Sports Car Club or attending trackdays at one of the state’s many roadcourses in his 240sx (no, it doesn’t have a turbo).

Jenson Little: Technician

The newest addition to the SoulSpeed team is Tech Jenson Little.  From early on Jenson began following his dream of a career in the performance industry.  Along the way he built a spec Miata for the track, boosted an Integra for the mountain roads of Arizona, and a completed a near 400hp turbo S2000.  He also has had mentionable stints at Toyota and Lotus dealerships and provided the primary care for a private collector’s stable of Ferraris and other exotics. On top of his hands-on experience, Jenson also brings to the table over 1,550 hours of classroom training and over 22 automotive certifications. His latest project, a right-hand drive Integra, should hit the Texas road courses this summer.
